Our almonds: organic, rain-fed and MADE IN SPAIN
Did you know that the almonds used to make our vegetable drinks are Spanish? 😮
And because they are organic, they have a lot of benefits?
We tell you some of them ➡️
🔸Unsaturated fats
This seed contains 53.5% of fats which are mainly unsaturated fatty acids that reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
Of these, approximately 80% are mono-unsaturated acids (oleic acid) helping to reduce bad LDL cholesterol and increase good HDL cholesterol.
🔸Glucose
Almost three quarters of almonds are complex carbohydrates, i.e. they are an excellent source of energy that provides satiety, as they are digested slowly allowing the glycaemic rate to increase less and over a longer period of time.
🔸Fibre
Almonds are made up of 15% fibre, 80% of which is insoluble and 20% soluble. Fibre helps to regulate intestinal transit and quickly produces a satiety effect, ideal for slimming diets.
🔸Plant proteins
Almonds are rich in protein, containing 19 g of protein per 100 g, almost the same as meat. Almonds should have a privileged place in vegan and vegetarian diets as 30 g of almonds provide as much protein as a yoghurt or 150 ml of milk.
🔸Minerals
Almonds are particularly interesting because they contain calcium, potassium, magnesium, among other minerals, which are involved in the mechanisms of blood pressure regulation and in the proper functioning of the neuromuscular system. Almonds also contain small amounts of zinc and selenium, recognised as excellent antioxidants.
🔸Vitamins
Almonds are an exceptional source of vitamin E, with a proportion of 26mg per 100g.
So… after knowing this… Won’t you try our almond drinks and almond creams?
