Homemade vegan coconut yogurt with Ecomil

Making your own vegan yogurt is not complicated at all! With the Ecomil coconut cooking cream and some lactose free yogurt culture.


  • 500 ml coconut milk Ecomil
  • 1 g of agar-agar powder
  • 30 ml of maple syrup (or sugar)
  • 2.5 grams of yogurt culture lactose free


Bring the coconut milk and the maple syrup to the boiling point. Add the agar-agar and stir well. Remove from heat and let cool to 40 degrees Celsius.

Put yoghurt culture in a small bowl and add a few tablespoons of warm milk to dissolve it.

Add the dissolved yoghurt culture in the remaining milk and mix well. Pour into glass jars.

Incubate 14 to 16 hours in the yogurt maker.

For a creamy yogurt, whisk it and let cool in the refrigerator at least 3 hours before serving!
